THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE APPEARED IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER OF SZEDERKÉNY REFERRING TO A MEMORIAL PLAQUE PLACED IN THE TOWN’S MEMORIAL PARK ACROSS FROM THE CHURCH
The Danube Foundation was initiated by the late János Petz, a former resident of Szederkény who passed away in Canada. This Organization is dedicated to helping the residents of the Town of Szederkény and continues its charitable activities in our municipality by providing assistance to low-income retirees in the form of supplying household appliances, fuel vouchers and food packages.
The Foundation has placed a memorial plaque in the park across from the church of Szederkény in memory of János (John) Petz.

THE BOARD OF THE DANUBE ANTI-POVERTY SOCIETY wreathed the plaque of the late JÁNOS PETZ.
The lighting of a candle in the ornate holder at the bottom of the plaque was followed by a minute of silence and a main drive in his memory.

Our Foundation puts special emphasis on paying its respect to the elderly it had previously supported but have unfortunately have passed away since, by placing a wreath on their burial lot, in remembrance of them.
